If you missed the latest installment of Fast and Furious movie series, it's not too late to catch up with the adventures of Dominic Toretto and his crew. Fast 8 is a crime-thriller, comedy, film that features Dwayne Johnson as Owen Shaw/Agent Hobbs, Vin Diesel as Dom Toretto, Michelle Rodriguez as Letty Ortiz, Tyrese Gibson as Roman Pearce and Ludacris as Tej Parker. It is directed by F. Gary Gray and produced by Neal H. Moritz. The movie is set to release on 12 April 2017. The film received negative reviews from critics, with many expressing disappointment at the lack of any major changes to the franchise formula, with the only new elements in the film being a prominent role for Luke Hobbs and Justin Lin's return as director and executive producer. The film was a box office success, grossing $384 million worldwide against its $350 million budget. It is the 7th highest-grossing film of 2017 so far, and received a nomination for "Best Action Film" at the People's Choice Awards, however it ultimately lost to "Wonder Woman". The next installment in the Fast and Furious franchise will feature Hobbs re-joining Dom's crew to take on a villain played by Idris Elba. Luke Hobbs, Diplomatic Security Service agent, is assigned to capture Owen Shaw, mercenary and leader of his own group. However, when attempting to arrest him in Rio de Janeiro, Shaw flees while crashing into the street with his car. He is pursued by Hobbs but Shaw escapes after causing an explosion during an intense car chase. In London, Hobbs tracks Shaw’s brother, Deckard Shaw, who is a member of a cyber-terrorist group led by " Cipher", a hacker and criminal mastermind. Hobbs asks Dom to help him find Shaw and destroy Cipher's team. Dom and his crew agree to help but only for their own personal gain. Meanwhile, Brian O'Conner meets with Tego Leo in Havana. They deal with local police to purchase cars from Cuba to be used in the heist they plan on executing for Cipher in New York City. However, the police are killed by Cipher’s men during the heist and Leo is captured. Brian and Mia Toretto rescue Leo and they escape while Cipher's group splits up and hide in different parts of the city. In New York City, Brian and Leo steal a helicopter to fly to the Holland Tunnel where they once again run into Cipher's men and DSS agents. Brian manages to get away with his team on their transport which is forced down into a storm drain. When they come out on the other side of the storm drain, they find that Hobbs has found them and has arrested them all. He takes them back to London where Owen Shaw is still in custody. cfa1e77820
